Removal of the plastic screen at reception

On the 30th June we will be removing the plastic screen at the front desk to be a more open and welcoming service. My wonderful receptionists consented to this as it will be easier to communicate and hear nicely plus there is natural air flow to them rather than being behind the screen.

I am sure you agree that it will be easier to talk to us rather than almost having to shout through the circle vent which has been even harder with the noise of much needed fans.

The only concern would be if patients lean right over or pass sample pots and letters right at them without advanced warning. This cannot happen as they need to be respected with personal space. Signs will be up reminding people but we hope you agree it’s a good decision
