First Contact Physiotherapist

You can now see a Specialist Physiotherapist at the GP Surgery without seeing your GP first.

We have a resident First Contact Physiotherapist called Nic who attends Ifield Medical Practice every Wednesday.  A first contact practitioner (FCP) is an experienced physiotherapist who has the advanced skills necessary to assess, diagnose and recommend appropriate treatment or referral for musculoskeletal (MSK) problems on a patient's first contact with healthcare services e.g. when they visit their GP surgery.

If you need to see someone about:

  • Neck and back pain, sciatica
  • Shoulder pain, dislocation
  • Elbow pain, tennis elbow
  • Hand & wrist pain, carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Hip and groin pain, pain on walking
  • Knee pain, pain on walking
  • Foot and ankle pain, ligament sprains, achilles tendon pain

Please contact the Surgery and ask for a physio appointment with Nic.
